Black and White Portrait

These are a couple of portraits I took of a classmate my first semester of photography. It was very fun and easy to shoot. Changing it to black and white added a new dimension to the photo in itself. I edited it in Lightroom and then was able to take it to photoshop and blur out the background for the first photo. Notice how much clearer the subject looks when the background is out of focus- one's eye naturally goes to the subject. The second photo is nice, but a blurred background would further enhance it's appeal.
