Shooting Macro

This is one of my favorite shots taken with a macro lens. It was my first time shooting macro, so I was super pleased with how this turned out. Shooting macro was definitely different than I expected. You have to get super close to your subject for it to be clear- which makes trying to get shots of bees and spiders nothing less than terrifying- for me at least. Macro has definitely become a quick favorite and I look forward to continuing shooting with a macro lens. Macro lenses are best for small details, such as smaller flowers, succulents, and as you can see above, eyes. Number one tip for shooting with Macro is to be patient- it's natural to move so it takes practice steadying yourself.
